r/fitnesscirclejerk Versus Fotis Chatzinicolaou

r/fitnesscirclejerk Versus Fotis Chatzinicolaou Hey omorfe, (reminder this mean good-looking man in Greek) Yesterday, r/fitnesscirclejerk (a subreddit on, um, Reddit) shared my “one exercise to banish in 2022” piece. As expected, most of the comments were A+ entertainment. Plus, they only focused on my training recommendations and humor. Imagine what would happen if they also knew that I: hit on multiple girls on the public almost daily paint my nails dark green am an anime/manga geek who rewatches/rereads his favorite series multiple times prefer supporting animal shelters over big non-profit organizations that help hoomans believe Donal Trump is someone to study if you’re interested in becoming successful (Success, after all, is your ability to hit your goals and is a morally neutral word) Anyway, let’s see a few of those comments along with my thoughts: HTUT-2 D-2 wrote: “That whole user reads like someone put a lot of time and effort into a satirical account to avoid dealing ...

here's how NOT to deal with food cravings

Hey omorfe, Every Sunday I'm visiting my parents. And my mom is *always* buying me some amazing ice cream (yes, even during winter). What's interesting is that I ate the ice cream at 2pm today. And, I'm betting you euros to donuts, tomorrow at 2:30pm, I'll get cravings for sweets. Note: this is  not  accidental. Your body will send craving signals after 20-30 hours and try to make you gorge on junk food. If you can resist the tempation, you'll be good to go (at least for the next few days) Speaking of cravings, here's a question I saw a while ago: "Im on day 8 of eating healthy and I'm having terrible cravings to get either a bag of chips, or a brownie. I know about moderation but that doesn't work on me. If I go buy a small bowl of chips, my brains gonna go "well there's more right there, why not go for that too?" as soon as i finish a reasonable until ive finished all of it. I've tried everything to only eat a small amount, but ...

6 glorious (and one inglorious) coaches to follow

Hey omorfe, (Reminder, that's Greek for good-looking man) Woke up earlier than usual today. Since I'm visiting my parents, I have to write and load this email in the morning. Honestly, I feel a bit disoriented and will probably take me some time to get in the writing flow. But it doesn't matter. I can't control whether I have motivation or not. But I sure as hell can control how disciplined I am.  Anywhoo, following is a small list of coaches that can have a profound impact in your life along with what I learned from 6 of them:  Nick Tumminello He was the first one that made me think in terms of training principles instead of trends. When you focus on the principles instead of the trends, you rarely waste time, energy, and money on caca that doesn't work.  For example, the TRX is a trend (or a tool) that might or might not be good for you and your goals. On the other claw, progressive overload is a principle that all effective programs should utilize.  Tony Gentilco...

3 dumb mistakes robbing smart men of muscle

Hey omorfe, There’s a Grecian and a Plebeian way of building muscle. As you can probably guess, the Grecian way is the right way. And I’ve talked about it in the previous messages. However I didn’t touch the Plebeian, aka the dumb, dumb, dumb way of building (or, more accurately, not building) muscle. Today I wanna share three mistakes decent men make that rob them of the gains they deserve. So let’s start: Dumb Mistake Numero Ena — Overlapping Exercises Overlapping happens when you perform many exercises for the same muscle in a training session. This is a mistake because your muscles can benefit from a certain number of sets. If you do more than needed? Best case scenario, you waste time. Slightly-worse case scenario, you lose muscle mass. Worst case scenario, you injure yourself since your joints didn’t have time to recover. Unfortunately many Feetnes Eggsperts and dumb magazines use overlapping in their programs. And sure, it’s OK if you’re chemically enhanced or you’ve never...

one exercise to banish in 2022

Hey omorfe, I was at the pharmacy waiting to get self-tested. In front of me was an older gentleman who tested positive. The pharmacist immediately stepped away from him. The poor guy insisted he had recently gotten the third dose and couldn't understand why this happened. I put my arm on his shoulder and told him not to worry and that everything will be OK. He thanked me and left. The pharmacist asked if I had recently been hospitalized. Supposedly, if you have, you're less likely to get Cobitch-69. I told him no. He commented that I was brave for going near a "sick" person, but I ignored him. I wasn't in the mood to explain why it's moronic to call asymptomatic people "sick." However, I felt sad for the gentleman. I hope his wife, kids, and grandkids will treat him as a human being...not a sack of disease-transmitting shit they should run away from. Anyway, let's move on with today's topic. In the past I've talked about "exercise ...
